The JWST Telescope: A Complement to the Hubble Space Telescope

The James Webb Space Telescope is often built as a successor to the Hubble Space Telescope. But in a sense, it's a little bit different. The telescope is really optimized to look in the infrared part of the electromagnetic spectrum. And what that means is it's seeing lower energy light. It's taking light that was emitted from these young stars and capturing them as they've been expanded out into this infrared area.
