The History of Arsenic
The nineteenth century has been called the arsenic century, but not because everyone and their neighbor was poisoning everyone else and their neighbor with arsenic. The symptoms of arsenic poisoning could mimic several infectious diseases that were supercommon around this time or even just other diseases. You could just buy it at the local grocer's the pharmacy, anywhere. But the vast majority of people who became exposed to r nic during the 18 hundreds did so because of their job, or simply because they were eating, breathing and living among the poisonous stuff.
