The Differential Impacts of Cash and Food Transfers
Both cash and food transfers have been found in RCTs to improve food intake and nutrition outcomes like dietary diversity and number of calories consumed. The impacts on which specific foods are consumed vary both by transfer modality and by context. Shifting gears a little bit into thinking about business investment we see largely that the effects of cash versus in kind or training programs vary by the type of entrepreneur who is being targeted.
