Isn't This Just Neoliberalism?
I don't think that the existence of recommender systems is causing everyone to act in a particular way. So it's so they're load bearing. And then also, and this is, I mean, it's a question of how much this matters. But if you want to understand what these people are going to do, and especially what they're going to do in response to public critique, it's useful to have a sense of how they think about these kinds of questions.
