The Cultural Revolution in China
Cities are hubs of innovation and so I think that China by maybe dabbling in a bit of geographic social engineering is risking the growth or which the sort of stability of the country is actually dependent. There was resentment between people who'd been in rural areas for a long time and teenagers who'd been suddenly dropped on them. A lot of these children were very bad at tasks like you know hoeing and things like that. So I'm pretty skeptical that this is a good way of approaching wealth creation.
