CNN's John Sutter talks about Bell Labs' art and technology collaborations. He says there were a number of reasons why corporate managers did that. One was to keep engineers happy, he says; the other was because it looked good. "Having like some art projects is kind of, you know, art washing some of the stuff that your corporation is doing," writes Sutter.
