Lavender's terpenes trigger the same neural pathways as valium. Study looked at a bed made from stone pine, which has been used for centuries in Bavaria and Austria and Switzerland to make beds. The study found there was a significant difference in cardiorespiratory response between sleeping these two beds. And so that has to be an old factor in response because you think about it, I can't see the bed.
