The Latte Factor
Buck was the one who coined the well-known term the latte factor. The idea being that if you will forgo a daily five dollar latte and instead save that money in the fullness of time with good investment returns, you can become a multi-millionaire. Buck's not wrong, but his advice was not right for me. Most of us don't want to wait 30 or 40 years to become rich. We want to get rich far quicker so that we can enjoy the benefits of wealth at an earlier age. I'll talk to young people about going forward and building something big and taking risks and being aggressive, not about setting money aside.
