Nina wilner was sent into communist east berlin to do her own information gather. She was, in fact, the first female us Army officer to lead one of these operations. The idea was to find out any information we could that would give us a better picture of what the soviets were doing. These targets would be anything from observing training to observing new equipment and observing the movement of equipment on rail lines.
