The Scandal of the Mental Health Profession
The average salary of an American therapist is $50,000. That's after eight years of schooling and an additional three years of postgraduate apprenticeship for them to earn the right to do this for a living. So I basically did a deep dive on what Vinny called the scandal of the mental health profession. And my argument was, it's not a profession because of all the broken systems that exist. The reason for that is because they can't pay their bills and it's very hard for therapists to create a living for themselves.
