How to Learn Pentatonic Scales

The key is just a piece of information. It tells you where you are and where home is. Chords are stacks of notes, but on top of one another, there could be a whole bunch of different kinds of chords. Scales tend to correspond to chords so they are kind of their own thing. Let's move on to rhythm. Rhythm is a much more vertical thing. That's why I kind of associate it with a Y axis. We've covered three things for the Harmony section of this episode. We have talked about key. We've talked about chords and we've talked about scales. Lastly, we learn scales.
