The History of Ukraine

The history of the ukranian state goes back to the early 19 twenties. It was formed by the soviet union out of what was left from the russian empire. The communist gime granted the appearance of sovereignty within a confederated union. But this loose federation was gutted by the centralizing policies of stalen through nationalization.
