Henri Cartier-Breson wanted to show Americans or New Jersey people their own culture. He said that it's very difficult to see a culture from ends, if you're a part of it. So what we're seeing here is a woman at an office seated and she's going through some papers. She looks a little scared, doesn't she? It does look almost, the office looks incredibly, deliberately lifeless.
