Chernoff and the Peasant Workers
While in exile, he continued his own radical education by reading the old gardnarotis theorists. Despite being under surveillance, he was able to engage in organizing activities. He set up lending libraries and discussion circles. Was pleasantly surprised how eager they seemed to be to engage with radical politics. So chernoff now believed that the best way to connect with the peasants was to pitch socialism in moral terms.
