Your camera angle is actually surprisingly important, whether that's consciously or subconsciously. People will look at the same shot from a different camera angle quite differently. A low angle isn't as flattering as one looking down slightly. If you're talking to camera, definitely look into the camera. But it does depend on what you're shooting.
