Dr. Kevin DeBiparschad is an orthopedic surgeon with a fellowship training in limb deformity and limb lengthening surgery. He says the procedure can take several months of PT as your bones are lengthened by millet or millet-like filler. "It's more gruesome than all the other ones, but I kind of suspect that it's going to be normalized within the next five to 10 years," he says.
