Who's Going to Go Live Permanently in Space?
When we get to the point where we're asking who gets to go live permanently in space, I think the answers will depend on why we're going. There's a much bigger diversity of body size and shape and ability that can accomplish these tasks than NASA currently accommodates. Eventually if you were really serious about long term existence, there'll be people with a variety of physical differences that you have to accommodate unless you take a harsh draconian level of dissonance to human life which no one is prepared to do anymore.
