Saints used cinnamon and whisky during ritual washing of feet. This isn't an animal house situation, it's something that will keep people clean. We discount what women are doing to contribute to religious life in general far too often,. especially in events like the curtlan temple dedication. As we acknowledge women's stories, as doctor laurel vetter olreck has taught us, it troubles those old stories. It adjusts them. And we can never see the same thing again.
