The Manhattan Project: A Top Secret Initiative to Develop Nuclear Weaponry

The Manhattan Project was a government initiative to develop nuclear weaponry during World War II. A top secret effort began in 1942, most of whom didn't even know the nature of the project they were working on. The United States deployed atomic bombs over Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August 1945. This is the first of two episodes about the Manhattan Project.
