How Do These Metaphors Connect to Social Justice Movements?

Sage: I started researching the word emergence and came upon this Nova PBS science video. And we were just geeking out like, how do these metaphors connect to social justice movements? Like how do the metaphors within emergence and complex systems become not only instructive to movements but counter to movement practices that seem to perpetuate the same injustice we're trying to fight against? How do we uplift those models by poetically, metaphorically helping us see ourselves in more profound ways? Sage: We as complex movements came together to start making art and music and media and organizing processes through culture that allowed for that to take root.
