The Maximum Electric Charge of a Black Hole

We're not even 100% sure that black holes exist in the universe. But we think that charge is conserved in our universe, and so even if those particles transform into some other state, the electric charge is maintained. If you can add an infinite amount of charge to a black hole, you might even be able to crack it open.
