The left hemisphere, as people used to think, is not unemotional. It has emotions and the emotions it is particularly responsible for are anger and disgust. And it also goes with a sense of self righteousness. When things have been pointed out to it that it gets wrong, or it hasn't was able to do them, it will flatly deny that there is any problem because it is always right.
