A, A, the Blessing in First Thessalonians

First reading from first thessalonians is a call to stand in the face of all that needs to be rebuilt. The people were focussed on the second coming of christ as imminent when this was written. And ah, so i'm coming back to church. I'm coming week after week to be reminded that others have this hope too. It's not that the baby came two thousand years ago. It's that christ will return and how much of what i'm doing day to day is a glimpse of the kingdom that his return will usher in.
