If you are really poor, be likewise poor in spirit. Make a virtue of necessity and use this precious jewel of poverty according to its worth. The brilliance is not recognized in this world, yet nevertheless it is exceedingly rich and beautiful. Be patient for you are in good company. Our Lord Himself, His blessed mother, the apostles and countless saints, both men and women, were all poor. And even when they were perhaps rich, they did not wish to be so.
