Are You Trying to Measure Your Productivity?
I think in some ways, what your saying is all to the tension between the short term and the long term. If i don't respond a colleague's request or a manager's, you know, instructions to do something right away, it's irritating for the person at the other end of the line. And so titis really a cultural bias in favour of the trivial, over protecting what actually is most important. We're wired to be social. We don't want to upset some one. These type o biases take over,. It's much harder to measure in this new world the impact of different behaviors.
