How to Choose the Right Player for the Spares

Trent Salah, Saika, Bruno and Harland are probably my locks. But I have these moments where I fancy having Pedro Porro for a couple of games at the beginning just for the fun of that. And then I remember that Spares can't fend, so that's probably not a wise idea. Genuinely, I could feel my midfield slots twice over with players. There's always going to be compromises in players that you can't have. So it's deciding whether I would rather have an extra premium and then,. so like Kane and then have Archer, or do I think that had a couple of mid-price players in there could actually outperform those two?
