The Challenges of the Supreme Court in Restricting Guns in Modern Day America

United States versus Prez Galan was a case out of the Western District in Texas. In that case, there was an allegation by Mr. Perez Galan's former girlfriend that he had been violent against her. And she sought a restraining order as was typical under state law. She also sought under the VAWA protection that we just discussed to have him relinquish his firearms. The court looked at what the Supreme Court had decided in June under the Bruin case and applied this new analysis.
