Jay Parini started meditating in 2012 but had a hard time making it stick. In 2013, his friend Adam told him to try sitting still with your eyes closed for five minutes. It's like building a muscle and you're going to be antsy as hell in the beginning. The idea is integrity, both in your body, integrity of the spine and integrity for the practice.
