Etsy is a two-sided market place like an Airbnb or an Uber. It seems to me that it's very easy for them once they get more hosts, more sellers,. They're able to moderate the demand in really powerful ways. I don't see that with Etsy. And over the course of time, Etsy has been able to generate plenty of cash flow.
Shopify pushes merchant services, Etsy tries to find its footing, and MercadoLibre continues to dazzle.
