The Future of Aircraft
Most aircraft have a service life about 25 years, so we're looking at decades before you would even be able to convert the fleet. There's also companies that are exploring hybrid electric or electric power aircraft. But given the fact that lithium ion batteries aren't great that storing large amounts of energy, we may not see that working for sort of long haul into continental aircraft.
