Is There One True Method?

I think Ryall's trying to get rid of is if there's one true method. I agree with you that different methods, different techniques, different notation can play into our ability to build theories or not. For me, why I like more like interactive programming because I find that I get a theory of a program much faster when I can see it responding in real time and move things around. Now maybe not everyone does that, but I would say it's probably pretty darn useful as to like assembly versus Ruby.
