I was 24. I had moved to a new country where I didn't know anyone. I didn't speak the language. It's very beautiful, but it does kind of have a wild feel to it. You sort of feel like you're at the edge of the earth. And so I started realizing that we needed a new different way to capture people's relationships to winter.
