Sergeant Hall was medically retired from the military after being wounded in Afghanistan. He wrote a book about his experiences and hopes it will inspire others to serve their country. Sergeant Hall's brother-in-law private Matthew Wilson also died in action during the same attack that claimed Sergeant Hall's life. His family paid a terrible price for their love of country, he says.
