The MPO and the MPO in Broward
In the 80s and 90s, Broward County had the fastest growth rate in the nation. The precursor to the MPO was called the Broward County Land Use Planning Board. They created a master plan for the county which basically had a build out of about 2.4 million people. It said they don't here do this, do that. And we started seeing growth in areas that didn't support the growth initially.
