The Musical Numbers in the Rain
Sally Kohn: I think that Broadway musicals are built for the stage, and film has to do something different. She says Easy Rider is about performers who want to perform in a cabaret setting. "It made me connect to these songs in a way that I haven't really connected besides singing in the rain," she says. The opening shot of this movie looks like it's saying what was going on at the time you're looking into - black and white color images.
