The Light of the World

Jesus said that people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. He's making commentary on what's happening in his very day as he is preaching, teaching and healing people. In verse 21, he says, whoever does what is true comes to the light so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God. You see, those of us who are transformed by the power of Jesus are given the ability now to do what we are. To do good works in God, what that means is in his strength, with his power, and his kind of results are what come about from doing so.
