Animal Cruelty in the Roman Empire

We live in an age where there's justly a lot of more concern about animal cruelty than any point in the past. There is going to be a Pauling cruelty to animals that surprised me, a person who had seen gladiator several times. By today's standards, we could do a show about Roman soldiers going to bloody deaths and not have anybody bad on it. But when a horse meets a death on the battlefield, do you know this website?
