Learning to Notice the Consequences of Your Behaviour

We help our kids notice the good consequences of their behaviour, and we help them notice the more difficult consequences. I think of that intervention as kind of helping them notice, right? The natural impacts are there, but i might need to help them notice what those things are. We're just articulating, drawing their attention, not to shame them, not to see.
