Todd Haines: Natalie Portman just absolutely killed it on the red carpet. I would be aware at this point that when I flew into Cannes, that there would be paparazzi waiting at the airport. Probably the most anticipated movie for me other than Killers of the Far Moon was the Zone of Interest. It is about concentration camp workers and World War II and the Holocaust. And it is the banality of evil. That phrase was proffered quite often in analysis of the movie.
