The Emotions Behind Starting Something New

When you look at a child learning, they're just failing over and over. It doesn't keep them from trying again in the same way that it does an adult. And so I've found we place a lot of unnecessary pressure or shoulds on ourself. Having a strategy to get through those frustrating early hours makes it both much more likely that you're going to pick up the skill but also persist long enough to see an actual improvement.
