Having a Bigger Tribal Circle
Tribal warfare is starting to occur more often, and so having a larger group is really important. I basically can't externalize harm in the social commons when i know everybody well. We don't have people competing for cancer cures that aren't sharing information with each other. But let's say we could actually have a situation where we had an incentive to share, to not disinform, and to share accurate information withEach other. That could scale beyond a dunbar size. And i think the limit of dunbar dynamics were communication protocols. If we could do such a thing, it'd become the new attractive basin to which civilizations would want to flow.
