Staggered Stance in Jiujitsu

Stants are very important when we're talking about engagement battles. In wrestling, quite commonly you'll see wrestlers stand with one leg forward and brace their lead arm on that knee to protect it from a shat. Tie boxers traditionally will almost havea, not a staggered stance, like slightly staggered, but mostly a square stane because they want to have their shins available to check kicks. If the martial art has a basic stance where youre base cla, just completely squared up to your opponent,. probably not a super effective martial art. You've got to think about your footwork and what they're doing, not just how you're gripping.
