The Consequence of British Influence on American Foreign Policy
It's about in a sense a collective conceit on the part of politicians in the UK, not just Mr Blair but others too. The idea that by staying closely involved with this influence would be a good in itself for British policy without really thinking about what influence then entails. And it's firstly a critique in that sense off that link between having an involvement and having influence,. Then secondly that objective of having influence as your end point of your thinking.
