How Does Sleep Loss Affect Attention?
Dan: My research study that I just finished was looking at, um, a lot of cognitive performance after sleep loss. And what we found is that there was a significant impairment in attention. So they were much more likely to choose foods that they rated as low health. If you think about that, it could be a measurement or marker of a defection from personal standards. It's called effort dismounting where you're much less likely to make an effort towards something you value.
