The Supreme Gangsters
The devil's disciples was the, I think the third oldest gang and it was formed primarily by a guy named David Barksdale who was born in Mississippi with migrated to Chicago. He did this primarily to as a way of defending against both the vice lords and also the Blackstone Rangers which were then the predominant sets in the gang. Larry Hoover is very significant and he wanted to unify all of the different gangs and I think the two got together somewhere around in like the 70s, decided to call the black gangster disciples. And so those are like two major figures in like Chicago life and very important. So that's a little bit about the two Larry Hoover and and David Barks
