The Relationship Between the FSO and the GRU
The Federal Protection Service is the final Praetorian Guard and Defender of Putin's position. It includes things like the Kremlin Guard who are clearly on high alert as Fagner approached Moscow. But also a much wider secret service that amongst other things we do know is meant to be constantly monitoring what's happening in terms of elite politics. The GRU at one point was clearly very, very closely involved with Wagner.
