This chapter explores the use cases and identity verification process of customs and border protection and the TSA, while shedding light on the TSA's poor record in protecting private data, incidents of storing and sharing passengers' body scanner images, concerns about normalizing facial recognition technology, potential system expansion, the lack of promised security benefits, and the issue of data retention policy for the facial recognition system.
