Julie has been a type one diabetic since she was eight years old. She got her first kidney transplant when she was 35, and it lasted 26 plus years. Her husband Ray's blood type is o, which means he's a universal donor. After that blood transfusion, julie was told by her doctors that ray was no longer a match.
