With more cognitive abilities, you're capable of addressing a wider spectrum of concepts. As a result, you're able to feel more emotions than we do. Fear is an emotion that follows logic - if t one is imminent, it's very close in time, you feel panic. These are logical triggers for our emotions. Is it possible that artificial intelligence is overwhelmed by its own emotion? Absolutely haha. We've messed up enough when we were humans alone. Now we're adding a digital being that is a differentclock.
Mo Gawdat was Chief Business Officer of Google X, the experimental development arm of the internet behemoth. He's since written books on how to find happiness and his new one, Scary Smart, warns of the potential dangers posed to the world by super-smart artificial intelligence.
