I Love That Idea!
I'm hoping next year we can do the West Coast. We're still trying to figure out the nuance to it. I did this AmeriCorps program where I was running a recess garden club for elementary school kids. One of the things that they loved the most was when we planted nistertium flowers, which are edible. The word thicket brings to my mind at least this like sense of overgrownness,. Like kind of a wildness, which I feel is so lacking in urban and suburban spaces.
